High-on-Hill-Street Cottage is a contemporary-designed space for up to 4 people in the tranquil part of Darling Village. A major attraction is our location just around the corner from Ormonde Wine Estate and up the road from Darling Museum and Koffie My Darling (all an easy 5-minute stroll).
We provide free fibre Wi-Fi and no loadshedding (yes, we have a renewable energy system).
The cottage is fully self-contained on the ground level of the main house, with a separate private entrance and access to the unit itself, the patio area, and off-street parking for 1 vehicle.
Walking into the unit, you will be greeted by a modern open-plan living space with a well-appointed kitchen, ideal for self-catering. The master bedroom has an extra-long queen-size bed, and the second bedroom has two single beds. Our cottage and its spacious walk-in shower and amenities are wheelchair-friendly, except for the master bedroom with 2 steps.
There is a private covered patio with access to braai (barbeque) facilities and a small communal swimming pool (shared with your hosts). Families with kids are welcome, but please note that the pool is open and accessible from the cottage, so the pool is not safe for unsupervised toddlers.
The cottage is close to coffee shops and eateries in the village if you don’t feel like cooking. Although self-catering, we can provide meals as an optional extra if requested 24 hours prior to your arrival. Our honesty bar will provide you with some snacks, soft drinks, etc.
Darling being centrally located in the Swartland and West Coast offers easy access to wine farms, the Atlantic Ocean (15-minute drive to Yzerfontein), West Coast National Park, and of course, Cape Town and surrounds.
Wim and Mari are looking forward to making your stay in Darling memorable.
